My name is Kyle Nester and I have recently acquired a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Alma College and am looking
for my first, full-time school employment. While I have performance/leadership experience in almost every aspect of school
music (orchestra, band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, choir, musicals, etc.), my expertise lies in stringed and brass instruments.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to interview for your open teaching position.
While I have not yet taught
within a school system on a full-time basis, I do have music teaching experience. For the last three summers, I have been
an instructor/counselor for a number of marching band camps. I have instructed and assisted in both the Midland Youth Symphony
and the Gratiot/Isabella RESD String Program. Also, I have instructed a number of private violin students. As a part of my
Alma College coursework, I have have observed, tutored, assisted, and taught in a number of mid-Michigan classrooms. Apart
from my Alma College requirements, I have substitute taught in Ashley, St. Louis, and Chippewa Hills School Districts. Currently
at Fremont Middle School, I am a long-term substitute teacher for a middle school band program. In December
of 2004, I finished my student teaching internship with Chippewa Hills' orchestra program.
I would appreciate being
